Smithson Farm provides an idyllic base for campers and tourers seeking to explore Huddersfield. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside and an abundance of wildlife, our site is a peaceful environment.
Our campsite is maintained to the highest standard and provides everything our guests need to enjoy their stay. We have several facilities available including a toilet block and shower, and an onsite café. Furthermore, we have a toilet cubicle suitable for visitors with disabilities. We ensure all our facilities are always kept clean, so your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Families are welcome and children can enjoy the company of our many rescue animals on the farm. We encourage children to feed and pet the animals.

Smithson Farm also has an onsite Coal Mining Museum. Set up in the early 1900s as a mining pit, Woodend Mining Museum now boasts a fantastic collection of memorabilia. Our museum honours the men whose efforts are often forgotten.
